Pupil Parliament

Today, KS2 Pupil Parliament enjoyed an informative and interesting tour around the Palace of Westminster. They walked in the footsteps of King Charles III and explored the many magnificent rooms and hallways of UK Parliament. They learnt that ‘parliamentary ping pong’ is an extremely important step in creating UK laws. A bill will be discussed in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. This bill will rapidly bounce back and forth between the two chambers (where changes/amendments are made) before it is ready to receive royal assent.
