Jubilee Year
June 2025
Today, six of our Catholic Life Ambassadors represented our school with pride at Westminster Cathedral, joining schools from across the diocese for the Festival of Hope, led by His Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols. As part of the Jubilee Year 2025 ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, they presented our school’s pledge of action - a heartfelt commitment to bring hope to those in need through faith and service. Our CLA’s demonstrated excellent behaviour throughout the celebration, showing great respect, reverence, and enthusiasm. It was a truly uplifting celebration of faith, unity, and the hope our young people bring to the world.

A beautiful view to start the week, rainbows are a symbol of hope and God's covenant with all living things. Our journey of hope has truly started.

The Jubilee Year began with the opening of the Holy Door in St Peter's Basilica in Rome, on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and runs to the Feast of Epiphany 2026. Today, schools in England and Wales joined together as pilgrims of hope, pledging to work together for God’s kingdom of justice, peace and love. At St John Fisher we held a launch assembly, took part in Celebration of the Word, wrote prayers of hope and learnt what it meant to be a pilgrim, to name just a few activities.
