Year 1 English – Sensory Poetry!
Our Year 1 children had lots of fun using their sense of touch to explore different textures, including cotton wool, Weetabix, play dough, shaving foam and sand!
The children used their sensory experiences to describe how each material felt, using exciting adjectives to bring their ideas to life. They then used their fantastic ideas to create their very own repetitive poems!
What a wonderful way to develop our descriptive language, creativity and love of poetry!
