Growing and Cooking

In Year 1, as part of our Science topic ‘Growing and Cooking’, the children planted their very own pot of cress! Working scientifically, they have been observing what happens to the cress seeds and today, they got to make a salad using the cress that they have been growing! They had great fun!

In Year 1, the Science topic is ‘Growing and Cooking’. The children started this topic by answering their enquiry question ‘Where does food come from?’. Throughout this topic they will use their researching skills to learn all about how food is grown on farms. This week they planted their very own cress seeds! We have some very keen gardeners!
