Forest School

**Rain definitely didn’t stop play at Forest School today! **
After weeks of sunshine , the rain finally arrived — and stayed with us all day! But a wet woodland just gives us a different kind of adventure!
Year 4 spent the day developing some brilliant Forest School skills. The children whittled their own toasting sticks , worked together in small teams to build and light their own fires using fire steels , and of course finished by toasting marshmallows over the flames to enjoy a delicious s’more!
We even managed a game of hide and seek in the woods with two of our groups! Turns out a rainy woodland provides some excellent hiding places!
Lots of teamwork , perseverance , new skills and very muddy fun!
