Today, Year 5 had the amazing opportunity to attend The Harrow Junior Book Award 2023 at Aylward Primary School, Stanmore. Many schools within the borough came together and shared the experience of meeting the renowned author, Onjali Q. Raúf. During this time, Onjali shared many experiences from her own life and inspirations for her books, each character based on real people she has encountered! She shared some touching moments, which allowed the children to connect with her and remain engaged throughout the presentation. In addition, Onjali kindly took the time to sign memorabilia and pose for pictures which was a lovely personal touch. The children also got to meet the New Mayor of Harrow. What a fantastic memory for everyone involved.
