Orienteering fun in Year 3!
Year 3 really enjoyed learning how to orientate their maps during our NEW cross-curricular orienteering lessons!
The children used markers around the playground to hunt for 3-digit numbers before using them to solve a range of addition and subtraction calculations.
A fantastic way to combine Maths, teamwork and outdoor learning!

In Year 3 this week, we’ve been using lots of practical resources and playing games in pairs to develop our understanding of greater than, less than and equal to.

Year 3 maths lesson! The children explored representing numbers to 100 using counters, Base 10 and pictorial representations. Fantastic place value work and beautifully presented!
