Our Aim: To help the school and our children, by providing additional resources outside of the normal school budget.
We do this by organising various social events where the wider school community can come together, get to know each other, have a good time – and hopefully make money for our appeals. We provide things like Book Bags, Christmas treats for the children, and organise extra-curricular fun activities for the children like the Christmas Pantomime, Scalextrics day, and events such as the Winter Ball and Race Night, plus much more...
Like all PTAs, we rely on parents’ support and are very grateful to the many people who give up their time to help run these events.
The committee members are all parents with children in the school and totally appreciate the hectic lives we all lead and how busy we are with work, children and out of school activities. It may seem daunting to even think of committing what little time we have left, if any. So, we're not asking for your commitment, but just the smallest amount of help or support whenever you can, will be received with an abundance of gratitude - and it's a great way to have a real influence in helping our children and our school.
We are always on the lookout for new fundraising ideas and invariably in need of people to help organise and run events.
Watch out for our event advertised on posters or leaflets in the Book Bags and around the school!
If you would like to contribute towards our children's fun(d) by helping at any of our events, please send us your full name, your children's full name(s), what Class they are in, your email address and your contact number, by completing and submitting the 'SJF Helpers' form below. Otherwise you can send the information in an email to:

Key dates for your diary
Friday 27th September 2019 - Christmas Card Design
This is an opportunity for your child to have their personalised designs come to life. These designs can be printed across Christmas Cards, Mugs, Labels and more... We have decided to kick this off earlier this year in order to get your children’s amazing artwork back to you in good time for Christmas posting. Please look out for further information in your child's Book Bag!
Tuesday 8th October 2019 - Harvest Festival
Get baking or donate a cake to our wonderful Harvest Festival celebration! All Reception children and children in Class 6S will take part in this year's Harvest Festival. So, if you can help, this will also be a wonderful opportunity to watch this special celebration, which is for all grandparents and local senior members of our community.
We will also be holding a cake sale at 15:00 to raise funds for the CAFOD charity.
Please drop your cake donations to the small hall in the school on the day before school starts - ideally from 8am. And please clearly label any tupperware / tins that you may want to have returned with your child's name and class.
Friday 8th November 2019 - Race Night @ The Three Wishes (Public House, North Harrow)
Last year's event was a huge success, and one of our biggest contributors to the children's fund. Please look out for further details that will be sent out in Book Bags, and get your babysitters booked!
We will be posting regular updates for other events in the school newsletter, red fish notice boards, children's Book Bags and on the Friends section of the school website, which is currently undergoing a revamp.
