Today, Year 3 enjoyed creating and writing poetry.

Year 3 have been working together to create a non chronological report in an active way. We had a paragraph party, found the ‘ uninvited’ guest, added wow bubbles and a glossary. Then we presented our work to the class using our oracy skills.

Year 3 have been peer editing their innovated version of The Iron Man by Ted Hughes to prepare for their big write.

Year 3 children have been peer assessing their writing. A really important skill.

Year 3 have been using iPads to find out about animals that live in the rainforest. They ‘Box led up a fact file’ on a rainforest animal!
October 2024
Year 3 have begun their non-fiction writing unit this week focussing on fact files. By the end of the topic they will write a fact file on a chosen animal. In their first lesson they worked as a team using iPads to research factual information, they then recorded their findings and presented their work as a group.
