Library Visits

May 2026

1 Kenny enjoyed a lovely walk to the library , where they took part in a fun scavenger hunt to find different book titles and authors. The children showed great teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the visit, and everyone was excited to explore the shelves and discover new stories to enjoy . It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading and learning beyond the classroom.

1 Farah enjoyed their visit to Pinner Library.

They had the opportunity to listen to a story about owls, which linked well to their current topic of Owl Babies. 1 Farah also enjoyed exploring the library and taking part in an activity where they read clues to help find a book.

1 Kenny Library Trip!

Today 1 Kenny enjoyed a lovely walk to the library. Year 1 Library Trip!

Today we enjoyed a lovely walk to the library . When we arrived, we listened to a wonderful story all about materials, linking to our science topic . The librarian showed us all the exciting activities the library has to offer, and we even took part in a fun book scavenger hunt ! We also learnt how to check out books using the library system before finishing with some relaxing free reading time .

Today, 1 Whitlock had a wonderful trip to Pinner library! The children enjoyed listening to stories, exploring the shelves, and taking part in a fun treasure hunt to discover special books and hidden clues. Linking to their science topic ‘Materials’, the children also explored and investigated different materials around the library. Everyone had a fantastic time learning, discovering, and sharing their love of reading A huge thank you to Monica, Nana and all the staff for making the visit so special - we can’t wait to go back! Thank you to our parent helpers too, your support is much appreciated.
