Finally… 3 Goldsworthy were able to take part in their last forest school session. And what a finale it was!

Year 3 had their final Forest school session today. They took part in a hunt to find volcanoes. Topped off with S’mores (marshmallow in chocolate biscuits) by the fire.

Year 3 visited Woodlands today to continue their Forest School journey and to develop their knowledge of Rocks, Soils and Fossils.

Today Year 3 continued with their Forest School journey! The children got to experiment with different types of natural life under magnifying glasses, tested the properties of rocks with fun activities on a checklist and learnt how to light a fire with modern equipment, instead of flint. As always, they loved every second!

Today, Year 3 continued their Forest School experience building on their knowledge of Rocks, Soil and Fossils. The children got the chance to build and decorate their own mini teepees, experiment with alternative methods of hammering from different ages, create their own jewellery using various new tools and do caveman inspired charcoal drawings too! They wrapped up warm against the elements and had a brilliant time.

Today in Forest School, Year 3 went offsite to the allotments to dig for clay! They found many creatures
and made some very artistic sculptures of faces with the clay that they sourced. They also sorted different types of rocks by shape/size/colour/texture and played some games. All of the children loved it!

Today, Year 3 began the half term journey with Wild Brambles. The children learnt about the 3 different types of rocks in a creative way.
