To further enrich our Science curriculum, we work with Wild Brambles Forest School to deliver Forest School sessions for children from Reception - Year 5. Each week, on a Wednesday, children take part in sessions outdoors, in and around our school premises. 

Forest School is a child- centred approach that offers opportunities for holistic growth. Children develop skills that can support them physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Forest School gives children opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences that supports play, exploration and risk taking.

We hope this opportunity will further develop children’s enjoyment of the great outdoors, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles, and deepen their understanding of the natural world. There are also opportunities to build interpersonal and social skills by working in teams to complete tasks, as well as problem-solving and resilience through practical tasks like den building, orienteering, fire lighting and woodwork.
