National Year of Reading

Today, as part of promoting the National Year of Reading, we held a whole-school Reading Café! Our children had the opportunity to relax, explore and taste a wonderful selection of new books from a variety of genres. As they enjoyed discovering new stories, they also tucked into a biscuit and a juice, making the experience feel just like a visit to a real café!
It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm for reading across the whole school, with every child finding something that captured their interest. We hope today’s Reading Café has inspired everyone to continue their reading journey and develop a lifelong love of books We look forward to seeing you all at our Scholastic Book Fair this week too, where there will be even more fantastic books to explore and purchase!
