Coming to England

In Year 1, our narrative this term is ‘Coming to England’ which is a story about Floella Benjamin, who, as a child, moved from Trinidad to London, and how her family and she made a new life in a different country. Floella’s journey, part of the Windrush generation, teaches us about courage, determination, and adapting to new changes. Using cross-curricular links, today, the children used their creativity and different mediums to produce a Chaconia; the National flower of Trinidad and Tobago. Look at their masterpieces!
