Thank you to the brilliant Eastside artists who have delivered Verse vs Verse workshops in schools, and to John Lyon’s Charity for their generous support of the project
Year 6 students took part in a three year project with Eastside. During the project the students were given the opportunity to work with professional poets, animators and film makers. They wrote and performed poetry for their parents and some groups were chosen to perform on stage at The Criterion Theatre. The groups worked together to create animations with the theme of how to make the world a better place. The short films they produced looked at issues they may face as they move schools.
Many thanks to all the staff who have worked with the Eastside team over three years. Special thanks to Mrs Hinds for arranging this wonderful opportunity and working so hard to make it successful. Our Year 6 students grew in confidence and worked with enthusiasm to make the most of all the workshops throughout the project.
