The National Gallery

Year 4 had a wonderful trip to the National Gallery to explore the world of still life paintings. The highlight was a fascinating “Secret Symbols” tour, where a gallery guide revealed the hidden meanings behind everyday objects in famous artworks — from skulls and fruit to candles and clocks! The children were full of questions and curiosity, and left inspired by how much a picture can say without a single word.
