Pond Dipping

Year 2 had an incredible experience in Pinner Village Gardens this week.
They arrived and met their guide Simon, who taught them all about the inhabitants of the pond and what they would find on their nature trail. Using large nets to skim the ponds, they found newts, dragonfly nymphs, fish, snails and plants. They also had the chance to put some of the creatures under the microscope. They also took part in a nature trail, they spotted brambles, ivy, dock leaves, caterpillar trails and a wild flower meadow! They all had such an exciting time!
