Marvellous Medics

Our Year 1 children stepped back in time in our Marvellous Medics workshop as they explored the lives of two pioneering women in medicine: Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. Dressed in historical costume, the children brought history to life as they learned about the incredible contributions these brave nurses made during the Crimean War. Through role play, storytelling, and hands-on activities, the class discovered how Nightingale and Seacole revolutionised nursing and helped shape the healthcare we know today. It was an inspiring and engaging day full of learning, empathy, and historical curiosity!
