Hinduism
November 2025
Across the school this week, children have been learning about Hinduism. The children in Year 1 have enjoyed learning about Diwali, the Festival of Light. The children also ‘dressed up’ and brought in artefacts from home to share with their friends - it really helped bring the learning to life! Our Hindu children were amazing at sharing their knowledge and experiences with their peers too! Children in Reception have continued with their learning, making Mandir’s out of LEGO, writing the signs and symbols and making Rangel patterns.

We are very proud of our talented Yr6 pupil. At the end of a week of learning about Hinduism and as Diwali approaches, Yr5 and 6 were treated to a performance. Listen to how brilliant he is at playing the Dhol (Indian Drum)

In addition, some of our Year 6 children have had the opportunity to share their personal knowledge of Hinduism with their class mates.
