On Sunday 2nd February, two teams of St John Fisher pupils (one Under 9 team and one Under 11 team) took part in the EPSCA English National Primary Schools Chess Championship 1st Round Zonal competition in London. The teams had to play five rounds during the day, showing lots of skill, with the Under 11 team enjoying a particularly successful day finishing in fifth place out of 18 teams.
