Baking Scones

Our Year 6s had a wonderful time at their VE Day-themed party today. Parents were treated to homemade scones baked by the children as part of this term’s DT topic - and they were a big hit! Well done, Year 6!

In preparation for making their own scones next week, the children took part in a delicious taste-testing session . They carefully evaluated a range of scones, looking closely at their appearance, texture, aroma, value for money, and of course the most important factor… taste!
There were lots of thoughtful discussions, descriptive vocabulary, and (naturally) plenty of happy crumbs! We can’t wait to see the amazing scones they create next week.
