Year 3 Art Superstars! Year 3 had an amazing art lesson today! We explored cutting shapes and creating collages, inspired by the bold, colourful work of Henri Matisse and Romare Bearden’s Odyssey.
Linking back to our last lesson on the Bayeux Tapestry, the children used the ships we studied and designed fantastic collage scenes for them to travel through Using lots of bright, colourful paper, the children carefully practised their cutting skills, rearranged shapes, and experimented with composition to create their own unique pieces of art
