Eco Team

May 2025

On Wednesday, the Eco Team had a productive day creating a bird bath and drinking station for our feathered friends and butterflies. We also began crafting some bunting for the area, hammering leaves onto fabric. We took the time to water the saplings and flower beds. And of course, we wrapped up our session with a delicious marshmallow treat!

March 2025

Our KS2 Eco Team have been hard at work this half term, focusing on enhancing our Awe and Wonder garden. They are currently dedicated to improving our grotto area in anticipation of May, the month dedicated to Mary.

Their efforts include clearing the pond of leaves and debris, cleaning the rocks, discovering large spiders, and unearthing old ornaments hidden beneath the foliage. Additionally, they have started crafting our own rosary beads to offer to Mary using branches of the Elder tree.

It’s been quite a task, so it’s only fitting that they whittled our hazel sticks and toasted marshmallows over the fire to celebrate the end of another week filled with hard work and commitment to caring for our school and our shared environment.
