Year 4 have been learning about the formidable Roman army. They practised getting into the Wedge and Testudo (tortoise) formations, following instructions in Latin such as ‘silente’, ‘accelerate’, ‘procedite’ (march), ‘consiste’ (stop) and ‘cuneum formate’ (form the wedge). We had lots of fun seeing if we would have made the cut to be part of the Roman army!
