June 2025

In RE this week, Year 1 children have been learning about Islam. Through engaging activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the faith and its practices. A highlight of their learning was discovering the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the festival marking the end of Ramadan. They explored the cultural significance of henna, a practice rooted in Islamic traditions. They learnt that henna is used to adorn hands and feet during special occasions. They created their own henna-inspired designs. Thank you children for sharing your own experiences and traditions with the class, fostering a real sense of community and mutual respect among their peers.
