A huge well done to the St John Fisher Gaelic team, who played at the Year 6 Blitz on Thursday 17th October. They faced some very tough opposition and after a slow start in the first group game, the team fought back and played brilliantly and went on to win their next two games 14-1 and 11-8. We made it through to the semi-final of the cup but unfortunately lost by one goal. All of the players showed fantastic skill and determination throughout the tournament. Well done to the Year 6 players: Caolán, Matthew, Evan, Olly, Adam, Adrian, Kacper, Aoife, Orla, Katie and a special well done to the Year 5 players who stepped up a year and played brilliantly: Olivia, Shane, Leon B and Monty. Well done to Matthew and Olivia who were chosen as Players of the Tournament. Thank you to GAA for the excellent coaching they have provided this half term and to Mr Betts for driving the minibus!
