Harrow Saints Gymnastics Competition’
On Wednesday 11th March, 12 pupils from Year 5 took part in the ‘Harrow Saints Gymnastics Competition’ at Harrow Leisure Centre. We attended a gymnastics club before school on Thursdays, which was led by Miss Lucas and Miss O’Sullivan. None of us had much, if any previous experience in gymnastics so it was fun to try something new. We all thought it was a great way to start our day and we felt more awake and ready to learn. After weeks of training and dedication, the day came for us to take part in the competition. We felt nervous but knew that we had worked hard. When we arrived at Harrow Leisure Centre, we were greeted by lots of parents and even grandparents. It was amazing to have so many supporters. We all performed to the best of our abilities which resulted in both our teams winning bronze (3rd place). We received certificates and medals. The competition was a brilliant experience and we felt proud representing our school. We want to say thank you to our teachers Miss Lucas and Miss O’Sullivan but especially to Callie, Orla and Nicole (year 6 pupils) who gave up their mornings to help train us.
