On Tuesday 10th March, swimmers from Year 4 and 6 took part in the annual Harrow Schools Swimming Gala. Everyone was really nervous, as for many children it was their first time swimming competitively, but all of the children were very excited to represent the school. Every member of the team swam absolutely brilliantly and supported everyone so well throughout the day, I think we were probably the loudest school there! As a result of so many amazing swims, we finished 2nd out of 19 schools… we could not believe it! We received a trophy, which is displayed in Mrs Conlon’s room, and every child received a silver medal. A special well done to the following swimmers who received individual or relay medals: Daniel (Gold Yr6 Backstroke), Leo (Silver Yr4 Front Crawl), Annemarie (Silver Y4 Front Crawl), Mei (Bronze Year4 Backstroke), Bronze Yr4 Medley Relay (James, Mei, Ronan, Madison, Leo & Annemarie) and Silver Yr4/6 Freestyle Relay (Leo, Annemarie, Ronan, Lara D, Magnus, Lara O, Trevin & Nicole). A huge well done to all swimmers who took part: Leo, Ronan, James, Mei, Lara D, Annemarie, Madison, Trevin, Daniel, Magnus, Adrian, Maria, Lara O and Nicole. Thank you to all of the parents who came to support us, we really appreciate it!
