As part of Year 1s Science topic ‘Seasons’, they went on a Winter walk to the woodlands to explore the great outdoors! They used their checklist to find as many living things and signs of nature as possible. The children used their senses and worked like Collaborative Carl.

As part of ‘Materials’ in Science, Year 1 worked scientifically to understand ‘melting’ and ‘freezing’.
November 2023
In Year 1, as part of their Science topic ‘Materials’, the children identified and named a variety of everyday materials, including wood, plastic, metal and glass. They also enjoyed exploring the different types of rocks and were so excited when they identified an ammonite fossil in a sedimentary rock!
