Every parent of a child at St John Fisher is automatically a member of St John Fisher’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), called Friends.
The Friends’ aim is to help the school and our children, primarily by providing additional resources outside the normal school budget. We do this by organising various social events where the wider school community can come together, get to know each other, have a good time – and hopefully make money for our appeals. We also manage other fundraising opportunities such as the name labels and Christmas pudding initiatives plus the Christmas card project. Like all PTAs, we rely on parents’ support and are very grateful to the many people who give up their time to help run these events.
We are always looking for new members for the Friends Committee or for people to help out with organising various activities or events. Any help, no matter how small, is gratefully received and it’s a great way to have a real influence on helping the school. We are always on the lookout for new fund-raising ideas and invariably in need of people to help organise and run events.
Watch out for our events advertised on posters or leaflets in the book bags and around the school, then join in and have fun!
If there is anything you would like to see on this page please let us know - we are very open to new ideas.
