On Thursday, we went to our second football tournament of the week at The Hive. We played three games in the group and we didn’t play the football we normally play. However we won our first game 2-1 (Joe and Ronan Cu), drew the second 0-0 and lost the third 2-1 (Ronan Ca). We didn’t think we had done enough to qualify but we were ecstatic to find out the top two teams qualified, which meant we went through to the semi- final of the plate. We fought hard but the game ended 0-0 so it had to be decided on penalties! Joe, Jayden and Michael were so brave and stepped up to take penalties and all smashed them into the back of the net. Aaron K made a great save on their second penalty which meant we were through to the final! We were really up for it and were the better team but the game ended 0-0. Luckily Ronan Ca made a goal line clearance during the game. The final was decided on penalties and although Aaron made a great save, their keeper saved our penalties so we ended the day as runners up. Well done to: Aaron, Michael, Max, James, Daniel, Ronan Ca, Jayden, Joe, Loucas, Ronan Cu for playing so well. A special well done to Dylan who was our coach for the day and Daniel who was Man of the Tournament! Thank you to Mr Betts for driving and Miss Betts for coaching us and refereeing the final and to all the parents who came to support us.
