On Friday 16th June our school hall became an art gallery! Governors, parents and children were invited to view some artwork that Year 5 have been working on in collaboration with Year 5 pupils at Grimsdyke School.
During the day students from Grimsdyke School visited our school to work with their buddies. All the children had chosen a famous character from the past or present and created two pictures using the pointillism technique. The pictures were combined and framed. The artwork was inspired by Andy Warhol.
The children enjoyed meeting their buddies and worked together printing and sketching. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to work with another school.
We plan to show our art exhibits in a local gallery.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
