To celebrate St George's Day, we held a special assembly. We were treated to a presentation by Mrs McKerracher from our school office. She talked about her Morris Dancing costume and showed examples of many different Morris dances. She delighted everyone with a tune on her melodeon.
Many children took the opportunity to do some research about St George. Some children made up role play to bring the story of St George to life, and others sang songs and read poems.
It was a wonderful way to remind us all of our patron saint.
