On Tuesday 18th December, we played our third league match of the season against Pinner Wood in torrential rain! After a tough game against Cannon Lane, we were all a bit nervous but determined to get the three points. We started the game well and dominated possession and had numerous chances but their keeper made some amazing saves. Eventually, Dylan broke the deadlock with a deflected cross, making the score 1-0 going into half time. Mr O’Brien gave us a motivational talk at half time and we went into the second half with confidence. As soon as the half began, the goals started coming. Loucas won the ball on the half way line and took on three defenders and scored a one on one with the keeper making the score 2-0. Seconds later, Ronan Ca scored from the left, quickly followed by a strike from the right from Joe, now making the score 4-0. We continued to dominate the game and won most challenges and battles. Jayden was playing brilliantly and was rewarded with two great goals making the score 6-0. Daniel then made a spectacular challenge in the last few seconds to stop a Pinner Wood attack meaning the final score was 6-0. We were so pleased to end 2018 with such a great win and we look forward to our next games. Well done to: Aaron, Joe, Max, Michael, Daniel, James, Ronan Ca, Jayden, Loucas, Dylan (Captain), Ronan Cu. A special well done to Jayden who was awarded Man of the Match for dominating midfield and getting two goals and a special mention to Joe who made some amazing passes and showed fantastic determination. Thanks to Mr O’Brien and Miss Betts for coaching us, Mr Betts for driving the minibus and to Miss Lucas, Mr Sheriff and Mr Kelly for supporting us.
