Bishop John Sherrington Visits our School
We were very pleased to welcome Bishop Sherrington, an Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster, to our school. The Bishop had lunch with the staff and was taken on a tour to see our younger children working in class. The Bishop and Father Shaun were invited to an assembly with our older children. The children were given the opportunity to ask The Bishop questions about his role and how he became a Bishop. They were interested to hear that he enjoyed History at school and may have become a teacher.
During the assembly we were treated to two performances by our musicians on the guitar and violin. The Bishop was pleased to hear that our school takes an active part in the life of the parish of St John Fisher Church by serving, singing, playing instruments and collecting.
It was a very interesting assembly to start our new year.
