On Tuesday 7th June we held our first Primary Futures event arranged by Miss Lucas and Miss Keogan. The aim of the day was to give children an insight into the wide range of careers that are available to them. We were fortunate to have volunteers representing a very wide range of career opportunities; sports, banking, nursing, construction, police force and many more. The day began with a ‘What’s My Line’ assembly, where the children asked some fantastic questions to find out what jobs our volunteers had. The children spent the rest of the morning visiting different volunteers. All of the sessions were very different; the children asked questions, completed activities, handled artefacts, looked at uniforms, equipment etc. The children had an enjoyable morning and learnt a lot about the careers that are out there for them! We would like to say a big thank you to all of the volunteers that came to our school and made the day such a success.
