Our three Year one classes held a French Day. The children wore red, white and blue, they made a French flag and looked at famous landmarks in France. Carole Bernard, one of our parents, very kindly offered to work with each class to teach the children some basic vocabulary and a song. The children used the computer suite to watch some French videos, and do some activities. After lunch the children tasted some French food. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to have a brief introduction to the French language and traditions. They hope to look at a different language each term.
Well done to all the staff in Year one for making the day such a success.
