On Friday 24th April we held a 'Bug Day' to raise funds for Buburi Clinic in Kenya - our global link.
The children and staff made a great effort to dress up as a bug! Throughout the day the children took part in different activities, bug hunts, painting, playdough, measuring bugs and many more.
The money raised will go towards supplying mosquito nets to families in the area. The children were told about malaria and the effects on the people in Kenya. Last week we also sold bug stationery to support the day.At the end of the day an assembly was held to celebrate the children's work.
We have worked in partnership with Heathland School in South Harrow on this project. Our Steer group will present a powerpoint assembly at Heathland and they will present an assembly to our school.
Many thanks to parents and staff for making it such a successful day.
Our school raised £562 for this very worthy cause.
